Black-Eyed Sally’s is very excited to announce the return of the “NORTHEAST BLUES GUITAR SUMMIT”, an outstanding variety, showcasing FOUR world class, touring Electric Blues Guitarists. Also, Boston Super Group, THE MATT STUBBS TRIO will be performing all night as KILLER support for all the players! We are in for a real treat folks, and we highly recommend booking a table in advance!!
First up is the above mentioned, incredible Blues Guitarist “MATT STUBBS”! Matt has a strong Guitar pedigree, serving as the guitarist for Grammy Winning Blues Legend Charlie Musselwhite since 2007. Stubbs has also released three solo records in the Memphis Soul Tradition including “Soul Bender” (2008) on Vizztone and “Medford and Main” (2010) on Chicago’s Blue Bella Records. Next up is World Class Blues Guitar Phenom PAUL “THE KID” SIZE!!! Fans will know Paul as Guitarist for the late great, Lester Butler & The Red Devils, an LA based BluesRock band from 1988-1994 which toured throughout the US and Europe. The band released a couple of legendary “live” albums and also collaborated with Rolling Stones’ Mick Jagger and also Johnny Cash. In 2017 the band toured and recorded “Return of The Red Devils” in the Netherlands to rave reviews!
If that’s not enough, you’ll witness a set of original Guitar Wizardry by Boston’s great Blues Guitarist & Vocalist, “PETER PARCEK”. Peter is one of Blues most seasoned performers and brightest talents. Peter’s virtuoso style evokes elements of Soul, Gypsie Jazz, Rock, Country, and Folk. Parcek has supported the likes of The Grateful Dead, Sheryl Crow and Roy Buchanan and recorded, toured with, and served as band-leader for Muddy Waters’ Piano man, the late, great, legendary Blues master, Pinetop Perkins. Peter’s recording “Evolution” included the likes of Ronnie Earl and Al Kooper. Peter calls his approach “Soul Guitar” which alludes to his depth of feeling in the deepest American roots music. A Peter Parcek performance is one you’ll not soon forget!
