Larry Kaplan, Dave Paton, and Tom White return to the Buttonwood Tree with a special mix of contemporary songs as traditional music from around the world accompanied on at least nine instruments, but not all at once…These three multi-instrumentalists are masters of their craft and will take us on a rich musical journey that just might find its way to our own backyard.

“Old Zeb,” “Song for Gale,” “Song for The Bowdoin,” “John,” ” Get Her Into Shore,” “Selling The Isabel”– just a few examples of some of the most enduring contemporary ballads from New England and beyond you will find in modern folk music today. Larry’s songs are poignant stories written in the truest folk tradition, honest, unembellished, highly sing able… and always memorable. Born in Boston, Larry grew up in Maine and Massachusetts and now calls both London, England, and Essex, Connecticut home. He helped restore and crewed on the famous Arctic Schooner, Bowdoin, was instrumental in collecting and disseminating the works of E. Gale Huntington, and has released three CDs through Folk Legacy Records, his most recent entitled, “Furthermore.” A skilled multi-instrumentalist and fine singer, Larry is very pleased to return to the Buttonwood Tree....
