One of the best funk bands out of New Orleans, GALACTIC is a collaborative band with a unique format. They’ve been together so long they’re telepathic.
GALACTIC is, always was, and always will be a funk band. Whatever genre of music anyone in New Orleans is doing, from Mardi Gras Indians to rock bands to hardcore rappers, it’s all funk at the bottom, because funk is the common musical language, the lingua franca of New Orleans music.

“Smooth Funky Jazz Fusion Power Trio” but, these guys have been around, involved with music for decades and internationally known for there sold out shows in Europe.
When asked what style or genre they belong, Steve Clarke responds, “We don’t know what genre or style of music we belong in, we just write and perform our songs with hopes that it makes you feel good to listen to, bop your head to, tap your feet or dance to.”
